James Noh ist schon lange im Gleitschirmbusiness. Sein Einstieg begann in den Neunzigern des vergangenen Jahrhunderts beim s\u00fcdkoreanischen Gleitschirmhersteller \u201eEdel\u201c. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Als die Marke Edel am Anfang des neuen Millenniums scheiterte, startete James Noh in S\u00fcdkorea mit einigen der ehemaligen Edel-Arbeiter und Maschinen eine eigene Produktion. Sp\u00e4ter entschied sich James wegen des besseren wirtschaftlichen Umfelds f\u00fcr die Verlagerung des Unternehmens nach Thailand. <\/span>Dort begann er f\u00fcr einige Gleitschirmmarken zu produzieren.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arne Wehrlin, Kopf von skywalk Paragliders, erz\u00e4hlt, wie es zu dem Joint Venture kam: \u201eSeit der Gr\u00fcndung von skywalk haben wir unsere Schirme, wie die meisten anderen Hersteller, bei unterschiedlichen Produktionsbetrieben n\u00e4hen lassen. Das Know-how daf\u00fcr liegt mittlerweile l\u00e4ngst in Asien, und das hat nicht nur mit den Lohnkosten zu tun. In den letzten Jahren haben wir immer mehr Produkte im Unternehmen von James Noh produzieren lassen. Wir haben dann schnell gemerkt, dass wir eigentlich deckungsgleiche Interessen haben. James war auf der Suche nach mehr Planungssicherheit und wir wollten eine eigene Produktion!\u201c<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2018 war es dann so weit, die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Acrocross und skywalk wurde mit einem Joint Venture vertieft und Acrocross\/skywalk gegr\u00fcndet. Dazu wurde in Chon Buri ein neues Firmenareal aufgebaut, das zehn Autominuten von James Nohs anderer Firma \u201eOEM-Acrocross\u201c entfernt liegt, wo er als Auftragnehmer f\u00fcr andere Marken arbeitet.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bei der Errichtung der Produktionsr\u00e4ume konnten die Rahmenbedingungen f\u00fcr einen modernen Gleitschirmbau perfekt umgesetzt werden. Die R\u00e4ume sind hell, freundlich – und klimatisiert. Das kommt nicht nur den Arbeitsbedingungen f\u00fcr das Personal zugute, sondern ist Voraussetzung f\u00fcr eine gleichbleibende Produktqualit\u00e4t. Lagerung und Verarbeitung der Materialien bei gleicher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Temperatur sind essenziell, um Toleranzen beim Bau der Fl\u00fcgel auszuschlie\u00dfen, die 10.000 Kilometer entfernt konstruiert werden.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Da in der Produktionsstra\u00dfe nur noch f\u00fcr einen einzigen Hersteller gearbeitet wird, sind Fehler, beispielsweise beim Umr\u00fcsten einer Maschine, nahezu ausgeschlossen. Alle Schritte folgen zertifizierten Prozessen, exklusiv von skywalk f\u00fcr skywalk. Ein Gleitschirm-Produktionsbetrieb ist heute l\u00e4ngst mehr als eine N\u00e4herei, in der Flugsportprodukte einfach nur zusammengen\u00e4ht werden. Die Fertigung ist Hightech, jedes Modell hat konkrete Besonderheiten, die umgesetzt werden m\u00fcssen. Komplex, aber essenziell ist die Einhaltung der N\u00e4htoleranzen im Millimeterbereich, um die Spannungsverh\u00e4ltnisse genau und Entwicklungskonform zu produzieren. Jedes einzelne Teil in der Fertigung hat Einfluss auf den im 3D Programm entwickelten Segelschnitt, der sich auf das Handling, die Leistung und nicht zuletzt auf die Sicherheit, auswirkt.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
