Der 52-J\u00e4hrige ist fast seit drei Jahrzenten im Gleitschirmbusiness, aber noch kein bisschen m\u00fcde. Man kann sagen, seine Motivation steigt zugleich mit der Erfahrung. Arne ist sich f\u00fcr keine Arbeit zu schade und gibt immer 100%. Man trifft ihn dort, wo es gerade am wichtigsten ist. Dabei kann er schon mal ein wenig hektisch wirken, doch Arne lebt getreu dem Motto \u201eraus aus der Komfortzone\u201c. Sich selbst weiterzuentwickeln, treibt ihn dabei an, denn skywalk sieht er als eine Schule f\u00fcrs Leben. Arne nimmt sich gerne Zeit f\u00fcr Menschen und hat immer ein offenes Ohr, denn Weiterentwicklung ist ihm bei allen skywalkern wichtig.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arne, wie bist du zum Gleitschirmfliegen gekommen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gegen Ende der Skisaison standen wir in der Warteschlange am Lift, um runter zu fahren, da keine Talabfahrt mehr m\u00f6glich war. Dann sah ich zum ersten Mal Gleitschirme \u00fcber mir. Ich wusste, dass ich das unbedingt machen m\u00f6chte und startete mit vier Freunden 1989 einen Gleitschirmkurs.<\/p>\n

Und danach hat deine Karriere in der Gleitschirmbranche begonnen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leider nicht, das war ein langer Weg. Noch in der Ausbildung hatte ich meinen einzigen Absturz. Der Fluglehrer hatte wohl nicht viel Ahnung und schickte mich ins Lee. Zum Gl\u00fcck war es letztendlich nur eine Prellung an der Wirbels\u00e4ule, doch wie damit umgehen und was daraus lernen? Neben der unglaublichen Euphorie f\u00fcrs Fliegen wusste ich nun, dass man viel wissen muss, um gegebene Umst\u00e4nde richtig einzusch\u00e4tzen. Ich kaute mir also einen Gleitschirm, verbrachte Stunden, Tage, Wochen, Monate am \u00dcbungshang und lernte blind mit dem Schirm umzugehen. Ich lernte im Flachland an kleinen H\u00e4ngen aus minimaler H\u00f6he Flugzeit herauszuholen, hatte aber Angst sobald ich zu hoch kam.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Im Flachland lernte ich Armin Harich kennen und wir verbrachten seitdem viel Zeit miteinander. In Greifenburg machten wir einen Abgleiten durch Wolkenl\u00f6cher. Ich verlor die Angst vor den Wolken und am n\u00e4chsten Tag absolvierte ich mit ihm meinen ersten Streckenflug. Die Blockade im Kopf war gel\u00f6st, ich konnte nun auch in gro\u00dfer H\u00f6he fliegen und liebte Streckenfl\u00fcge im Flachland. 1993 unterst\u00fctzte ich Armin bei seinem Gleitschirmshop, in weiterer Folge f\u00fchrten wir auch Fortbildungsseminare durch. 1997 startete ich dann als Testpilot bei Swing und lernte Manfred Kistler kennen.<\/p>\n

Wie war f\u00fcr dich der Einstieg als Testpilot?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aufregend! Ich hatte noch nicht viel Erfahrung mit Extremflugman\u00f6vern, nicht einmal ein Sicherheitstraining hatte ich zuvor absolviert. Ich musste mir viele F\u00e4higkeiten erst aneignen, doch dank meiner Zeit am \u00dcbungshang lernte ich schnell. Meinen ersten Fullstall habe ich noch sehr gut in Erinnerung, doch das Rettungsger\u00e4t habe ich nie ben\u00f6tigt.<\/p>\n

Was war dein Job in den Anfangsjahren von skywalk?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Da wir zuerst mit Flysurfer starteten, baute ich Kite Bars, arbeitete in der Auftragsabwicklung, beriet Endkunden und packte jedes Paket selbst. Sp\u00e4ter war ich dann bei skywalk wieder als Testpilot t\u00e4tig und lernte mit J\u00fcrgen Kraus, Schirme zu entwickeln. Irgendwann habe ich dann die Leitung der Entwicklung \u00fcbernommen, dann folgte die Vertriebsleitung und letztendlich die Leitung von skywalk paragliders.<\/p>\n

Hat dein Unfall auch deine Herangehensweise in der Schirmentwicklung beeinflusst?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Da die Luft f\u00fcr den Menschen nun mal ein Medium ist, in dem er nicht heimisch ist, war es mir wichtig durch den Schirm die Luft zu sp\u00fcren. Als Pilot soll man wissen, woran man ist, ohne dass der Schirm dabei instabil ist. Ein gro\u00dfer Bestandteil f\u00fcr die Sicherheit ist aktives Fliegen. Wenn der Schirm aber zu ged\u00e4mpft ist, wei\u00df der Pilot eventuell nicht, in welchen Bedingungen er gerade fliegt. Dies zu wissen, ist die Grundlage f\u00fcr Sicherheit in der Luft.<\/p>\n

Was war f\u00fcr dich bis jetzt das wichtigste Produkt bei skywalk?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00dcber den X-ALPS5 freue ich mich besonders, da es unser erster Zweileiner ist. Im Prinzip ist aber jedes Produkt gleich wichtig, denn es wird immer speziell f\u00fcr die Zielgruppe und den Anwendungsbereich des Piloten entwickelt. Ob ein MASALA, der einen wundersch\u00f6nen Einstieg f\u00fcr sportorientierte Piloten in die dritte Dimension erm\u00f6glicht, ein CHILI, der Streckenpiloten ein treuer Begleiter ist, aber auch das RANGE X-ALPS, welches nun im ganzen Markt einen immensen Anklang findet. Der Pilot soll den Nutzen sp\u00fcren, wenn er sich f\u00fcr eines unserer Produkte entscheidet.<\/p>\n
