Die X-Pyr sind eines der h\u00e4rtesten Hike&Fly Abenteuerrennen der Welt. Am 23. Juni 2024 starten 48 Teams, um die Pyren\u00e4en von der Biskaya bis zum Mittelmeer zu durchqueren. Die Piloten tragen dabei minimale Ausr\u00fcstung und d\u00fcrfen t\u00e4glich 14 Stunden unterwegs sein.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das diesj\u00e4hrige Rennen begann unter extrem herausfordernden Bedingungen: str\u00f6mender Regen und eine Strecke von 77 Kilometern, die laufend zur\u00fcckgelegt werden musste, um den ersten Wendepunkt zu erreichen. Entscheidend war es, Verletzungen und kleinere Beschwerden zu vermeiden, um den weiteren Rennverlauf nicht zu beeintr\u00e4chtigen. Thomas Friedrich und Simon Oberrauner meisterten diese Schwierigkeiten hervorragend und blieben, dank der Unterst\u00fctzung ihrer Supporter, verletzungsfrei.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

F\u00fcr den folgenden Tag wurden gute Thermik, Ostwind und etwas Schatten vorhergesagt. Simon entschied sich, weitere 25 Kilometer auf der Stra\u00dfe zur\u00fcckzulegen, um einen strategisch g\u00fcnstigen ersten Startplatz zu erreichen. Nach einigen Fl\u00fcgen und dornigen Pfaden endete der Tag mit wenig Fortschritt, aber in einer vielversprechenden Position f\u00fcr den n\u00e4chsten Tag.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nach einem anstrengenden Aufstieg mussten etwa 20 Zecken von den Beinen entfernt werden, bevor ein perfekter Flugtag begann. Simon gelang es, auf die S\u00fcdseite der Pyren\u00e4en zu fliegen, wo ihn hervorragende Bedingungen und wenig Wind erwarteten. Das Fliegen \u00fcber diesen Teil der Pyren\u00e4en war besonders erfreulich, da die Bedingungen beim letzten Mal \u00e4u\u00dferst schwierig gewesen waren.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201eDie Unterschiede zwischen den Pyren\u00e4en und den Alpen sind vor allem in den Windsystemen zu finden\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Simon. <\/span>\u201eDie Bedingungen in den Pyren\u00e4en sind \u00e4u\u00dferst komplex, die Sonne erscheint sp\u00e4ter und die Thermik setzt somit sp\u00e4ter ein. Beide Gebirge sind jedoch wundersch\u00f6n und bieten einzigartige Herausforderungen. In den Pyren\u00e4en gibt es zudem eine Seebrise, die f\u00fcr zus\u00e4tzliche Dynamik sorgt.\u201c<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
