For the Red Bull X-Alps 2017 skywalk is supporting six strong teams.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

skywalk’s team for the Red Bull X-Alps is now more than complete: an exciting mixture of motivated newcomers, cutting-edge World Cup racers, experienced expeditionists, returning favorites \u2013 and the most successful pilot in the history of the X-Alps: Christian Maurer. After intensive testing, « Chrigel » has decided to fly skywalk\u2018s lightweight paragliders for all upcoming Hike & Fly competitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After intensive material testing this spring, Chrigel Maurer<\/strong>, four times Red Bull X-Alps<\/a> Champion has chosen skywalk\u2018s high performance X-Alps glider for the 8th Red Bull\u00a0 X-Alps competition. Chrigel<\/strong> is excited to have teamed up with skywalk and reports: « The right glider is critical for my personal highlight of the season. skywalk\u2018s X-Alps glider is in my opinion the optimal combination of reduced weight, great gliding performance and agile handling<\/strong>. » The first run-in begins with the Bordair race, tomorrow on the 6th of May starting in Aschau.<\/p>\n

The second prominent new addition to skywalk’s team is Manuel N\u00fcbel<\/strong>, who cut his teeth on the 2015 Red Bull X-Alps. Manuel will also be at the Bordair race start this weekend.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

skywalk is supporting a total of six fascinating teams for this years Red Bull X-Alps<\/a> due to start on the 2nd of July. « Repeat offender » and top favorite Paul Guschlbauer<\/strong> is on board once again, together with Stephan Gruber<\/strong> from skywalk\u2018s R&D team and the new rookie Simon Oberrauner<\/strong> from Graz who won the complete Bordairline series in 2016. Dutch adventurer Ferdinand van Schelven<\/strong>, veteran of the last two Red Bull X-Alps is also starting for skywalk.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The entire skywalk team is already bubbling with excitement, anticipating the start of the race season. This year is going to be incredible and makes us really proud to have so many exceptional athletes and fascinating individuals on the team. After joining as main Red Bull X-Alps paragliding sponsor in 2015<\/strong> and partnering up with outdoor equipment maker SALEWA<\/a>, this is another new level of commitment to the sport. Arne Wehrlin<\/strong>, head of skywalk paragliders: « We\u2018ll be sending top pilots with top gliders to the start of the 8th Red Bull X-Alps on the 2nd of July, and are certain that our serial development will profit enormously from their experience and feedback. »<\/p>\n
