The sports event in summer 2020<\/h3>\n

It sounds like triathlon<\/strong> for air and mountain sports and that’s all true. Because the Aerothlon combines trail running, paragliding and mountain biking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first Aerothlon<\/strong> in Wagrain-Kleinarl<\/a> is on August 30, 2020. The event takes place every two years – alternating with Red Bull X-Alps<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In contrast to other Hike & Fly events, the athletes fight alone, as a tandem team or in a relay tem.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The starting possibilities are limited to 50 people.<\/strong> So now it’s time to be quick, because the « first come – first serve principle » applies. The registration starts at July, 31 2020.<\/p>\n

AEROTHLON – Procedure & Race Track<\/h4>\n

Trail running, paragliding, mountain biking<\/p>\n

The Aerothlon starts with a trail<\/strong> running race<\/strong>. The athletes run from the sports field in Kleinarl<\/a> to the Mooskopf. They pass the church and take the hiking path directly to Gasthof Pr\u00f6ll. There they continue to Gasthaus Galler. From now on the race goes diretissima under the bubble shuttle to the Mooskopf.<\/p>\n

The paragliding route<\/strong> starts up there. If the weather is good, the Gr\u00fcndegg<\/strong> is a technically demanding turnpoint. The paragliders prove their skills. If the paragliders do not make it to the turnpoint, they land at the Hirschleiten field and cover the rest of the way according to the Hike & Fly principle. This means that the Gr\u00fcndegg has to be climbed on foot. This summit is the new point to start flying. In bad weather, the flight route is adapted to the current conditions.<\/p>\n

The paragliders <\/strong>hand over or change their sports equipment again at the sports field in Kleinarl. The mountain bikers cycle over Steinegg and the Kreuzsalwald<\/strong> to the Gasthaus Galler. From there it goes down to the Brandstatt district. A short distance leads in the valley towards Wagrain<\/a>. The mountain bikers turn into Sauwaldstra\u00dfe<\/strong> towards the Kleinarler H\u00fctte<\/strong>. The descent is over hill and dale at the Hirschleitentrail<\/strong>. They finsih at the sports field in Kleinarl.<\/p>\n

PARTICIPATION AEROTHLON – Alone or with your Team<\/h4>\n

This is how it works:<\/p>\n

In this competition you start either alone<\/strong> or in a team<\/strong>. For trail runners and mountain bikers it is also possible to find a tandem pilot – almost alone plus \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

As a lone fighter<\/strong>, you complete all three required disciplines. In the tandem team<\/strong> variant, the mountain runner runs to the handover to the paraglider and flies with the tandem pilot to the mountain bike route and then the runner takes over again and rides the mountain bike to the finish.<\/p>\n

The relay team<\/strong> has a specialist for every discipline. They hand over to his teammate at the next transition zone.<\/p>\n

Women and men<\/strong> take part in this competition, mixed teams are also allowed. The relaxed competitive atmosphere makes this event unique.<\/p>\n

There is a rating for the lone fighters, the tandem teams and the relay teams. A total of \u20ac 1,500 in prize money<\/strong> will be distributed.<\/p>\n

WHERE DOES THE AEROTHLON COME FROM?<\/h4>\n

The Aerothlon<\/a> was held for the first time in 2013 in Malinalco in Mexico<\/strong>. At that time, 60 athletes from six different countries took part in different categories. Since then, the event has developed into an international series.<\/p>\n

Das Sportevent im Sommer 2020<\/h3>

Was sich wie\u00a0Triathlon<\/strong> f\u00fcr Luft und Bergsport anh\u00f6rt, trifft den Nagel auf den Kopf. Denn der Aerothlon verbindet Berglauf<\/strong>, Paragleiten<\/strong> und Mountainbiken<\/strong>.<\/p>

Der erste Aerothlon<\/strong> in Wagrain-Kleinarl<\/a> ist am 30. August 2020<\/strong>. Das Event findet alle zwei Jahre statt - abwechselnd mit Red Bull X-Alps<\/a>.<\/p>

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Hike&Fly-Veranstaltungen k\u00e4mpfen beim Aerothlon die Sportler alleine, als Tandem-Team oder in der Staffel<\/strong>.<\/p>

Die Startpl\u00e4tze sind auf 50 limitiert.<\/strong> Also hei\u00dft es jetzt schnell sein, denn es gilt das \"First come - First serve-Prinzip\". Die Anmeldung startet am 31. Juli 2020.<\/p>

AEROTHLON - Ablauf & Rennstrecke<\/h4>

Berglauf, Paragleiten, Mountainbike<\/p>

Der Aerothlon startet mit einem Trailrunning-Rennen<\/strong>. Die Sportler laufen vom Sportplatz in Kleinarl<\/a> auf den Mooskopf<\/strong>. Dabei passieren sie die Kirche und sie gelangen \u00fcber den Wanderweg direkt zum Gasthaus Pr\u00f6ll. Dort laufen sie weiter zum Gasthaus Galler. Ab jetzt geht es diretissima unter dem Bubble Shuttle bis zum Mooskopf.<\/p>

Dort startet die Paragleit-Strecke<\/strong>. Bei gutem Flugwetter bildet das Gr\u00fcndegg<\/strong> einen technisch anspruchsvollen Turnpoint. Dabei beweisen die Paragleiter ihr K\u00f6nnen. Schaffen es die Paragleiter nicht zum Turnpoint, landen sie am Hirschleiten Feld und legen den restlichen Weg gem\u00e4\u00df Hike&Fly Prinzip zur\u00fcck. Das hei\u00dft, das Gr\u00fcndegg muss zu Fu\u00df erklommen werden. Dieser Gipfel ist dann der neue Startpunkt zum Losfliegen. Bei schlechtem Wetter wird die Flugstrecke an die akutellen Verh\u00e4ltnisse angepasst.<\/p>

Die Paragleiter \u00fcbergeben bzw. wechseln ihre Sportger\u00e4te wieder beim Sportplatz in Kleinarl<\/strong>. Die Mountainbiker radeln \u00fcber Steinegg und dem Kreuzsalwald <\/strong>zum Gasthaus Galler. Von dort geht es \u00fcber den Ortsteil Brandstatt talw\u00e4rts. Eine kurze Strecke f\u00fchrt im Tal Richtung Wagrain.<\/a> Die Mountainbiker biegen in die Sauwaldstra\u00dfe <\/strong>in Richtung Kleinarler H\u00fctte. Die Abfahrt erfolgt \u00fcber Stock und Stein \u00fcber den Hirschleitentrail<\/strong>. Das Ziel ist beim Sportplatz in Kleinarl.<\/p>

TEILNAHME AEROTHLON - Alleine oder im Team<\/h4>

So funktionierts:\u00a0<\/p>

Richtig geh\u00f6rt! Bei diesem Wettkampf startet ihr entweder allein <\/strong>oder in einem Team<\/strong>. F\u00fcr die Bergl\u00e4ufer und Mountainbiker ist es auch m\u00f6glich, sich einem Tandem-Piloten zu suchen - quasi alleine plus :)<\/p>

Als Einzelk\u00e4mpfer<\/strong> absolviert ihr alle drei geforderten Disziplinen. In der Tandem-Team-Variante<\/strong> l\u00e4uft der Bergl\u00e4ufer bis zur \u00dcbergabe an die Paragleiter und fliegt mit dem Tandem-Piloten bis zur Mountainbikestrecke und dann \u00fcbernimmt wieder der L\u00e4ufer und f\u00e4hrt mit dem Mountainbike ins Ziel.<\/p>

Beim Staffel-Team<\/strong> gibt es f\u00fcr jede Disziplin einen Spezialisten. Dieser \u00fcbergibt jeweils an der n\u00e4chsten Wechselzone an seinen Teamkollegen.<\/p>

Frauen und M\u00e4nner<\/strong> nehmen an diesem Wettkampf teil, es sind auch gemischte Teams erlaubt. Die lockere Wettkampfatmosph\u00e4re macht diese Veransaltung einzigartig.<\/p>

Es gibt jeweils eine Wertung f\u00fcr die Einzelk\u00e4mpfer, die Tandem-Teams und die Staffeln. Insgesamt wird ein Preisgeld<\/strong> von \u20ac 1.500,- ausgesch\u00fcttet.<\/p>

WOHER KOMMT DER AEROTHLON?<\/h4>
