Red Bull X-Alps 2023 – the race of superlatives and records
This year’s race was the fastest ever in its 20-year history: After six days, six hours and one minute Chrigel Maurer (SUI1) landed on the floating raft in Zell am See. Afterwards, 17 athletes also managed to reach the finish within 24 hours. The leading field has never been so close before. In total, 23 athletes reached the finish line – including Eli Egger (AUT4) as the first woman – and the longest flight in Red Bull X-Alps history so far is in the books with 266 kilometers in 11 hours and 13 minutes.
We are especially proud of the performance of our skywalk X-Alps athletes! An incredibly strong team that fought their way to the top with full commitment. We are very happy that we could accompany the athletes on their way to the finish line a little bit and that all of them mastered the adventure unharmed and safely.
