HOW DOES THE JOIN'T FLY?
The proven line setup of the JOIN’T5 enables easy and quick pre-flight preparation by effectively reducing tangles during sorting. Thanks to its strong performance, the JOIN’T5 lifts off early from the ground, ensuring a safe and smooth take-off.
In the air, the JOIN’T5 impresses with precise responsiveness, even in the upper ergonomic working range. For smaller pilots, the brake pulley height can be individually adjusted to optimize ergonomics. The low steering pressure saves energy but increases noticeably as it approaches the stall point, providing a secure and controlled flight experience. The glider delivers a dynamic and enjoyable flying experience with finely adjustable bank angle. Its direct handling makes dynamic maneuvers such as wingovers pure fun – for both pilots and passengers.
The split A-risers and the integrated big-ears-aid make applying big ears effortless and energy-efficient. RIGID FOIL
The Rigid Foil nylon wires on the leading edge help maintain its shape and ensure constant ram air pressure. Advantages: better take-off behavior, more performance and lower canopy weight.
MINI RIBS
Doubling the number of cells at the trailing edge increases its shape stability substantially. Advantage: fewer vortices improve the aerodynamics and with it the performance.
JET FLAPS
Our JET FLAPS extend the green arc as you approach the stall point, which substantially increases safety and also improves climb performance.
SHARK NOSE
Together with a corresponding wing design, the shark nose technology improves pressure distribution in the canopy substantially. Advantages: much more solid flying feeling and substantial performance gain, especially when gliding on bar.

3D-SHAPING
A precise calculation of the leading edge geometry and the installation of an additional strip of fabric reduce wrinkling in this sensitive part of the glider. Advantages: exact wing shape, more performance.
SAND RELEASE SYSTEM 2.0
Porous openings of the profile ribs at the trailing edge ensure that sand and dirt in the glider are automatically guided to the wingtip where they can trickle out. There is a dirt release opening located at the stabilo. This helps preserve the material and “relieves” the trailing edge.

What is the Smart Link system and how does it work?
Each riser has a coloured seam on the suspension loop. The red seam stands for the left side and the blue seam for the right side. This ensures that the risers are attached on the correct side.
The same colour-coded seams can also be found on the tandem spreader bar and on the skywalk tandem harnesses. This further increases safety.
How does the variable pulley work?
The height of the pulley can be optimally adjusted to the pilot’s ergonomics. A second loop is located slightly lower on the riser, to which the pulley can alternatively be attached. If the pulley is looped in at this lower position, the brake must be extended by 5cm.
ATTENTION!
The longer brake travel has an effect on the flight behaviour. Particularly in demanding conditions at the launch site, you should ensure that the wing requires more brake input.
How does the speed system work?
The efficient trimmer of the JOIN’T5 is equipped with a trimmer travel of 15cm, which allows you to accelerate your wing by extending the rear risers. Always open the trimmer on both sides to avoid asymmetry and the resulting negative flight behaviour. If the JOIN’T5 is flown in the lower weight range, we recommend opening the trimmer slightly to ensure optimum flight behaviour. The trimmer strap is easily fixed in place with the EASYFIX magnet. To release the trimmer strap, the magnet simply needs to be released from top to bottom, which enables quick and uncomplicated adjustment.
How does the big-ears-aid system work?
The D-risers are fitted with a CLAMCLEAT above the trimmers. The cover is pulled down before use. During the manoeuvre, the outer A-lines can be fixed in the CLAMCLEAT, allowing the JOIN’T5 to be held in this flying position for a longer period of time. This saves energy and keeps your hands free. After completing the manoeuvre, the cover should be pushed up again to ensure that no lines can become tangled.
What are the glide ratio (L/D), trim and maximum speeds?
We know that these data are interesting for you as a pilot, but for us to publish them would be a bad idea for the following reasons:
1) The difference between aerodynamically better and less good harnesses, or seating positions, can be a glide ratio or more.
2) Performance increases with the size of the glider. A large glider will always outperform the same glider in a smaller size.
3) There is no normed method of testing the performance of paragliders. For example, speed varies with altitude and the associated different air pressure, but also with the total weight of the system.
Do the nylon wires in the glider nead any special attention or packing method?
Our rigid foils are flexible and kink-resistant, so they cannot break under conventional environmental conditions. However, due to the packing volume, it is advantageous to lay the rigid foils on top of each other at the leading edge on each side.
What are JET FLAPS and how do they work?
JET FLAPS are a so-called split flap, like those on large airplanes. When the glider is braked, the airflow is routed through the glider, restoring smooth airflow. This extends brake line travel and softens the stall behavior.
Which advantages do the JET FLAPS on my skywalk glider offer me?
Lower flyable minimum airspeed. The speed range is wider and easier to control. The pilot has more time to react when flying near the stall point.

The FLASHBAG was specially developed to enable tandem pilots to pack their equipment particularly quickly after landing.
