Recap Girlscamp – Tourstop 1, Greifenburg
The Paragliding GIRLSCAMP series with Elisa Deutschmann is entering the next round and this year has even been extended to 3 tour stops with a total of 2 locations (2x Greifenburg, 1x Sweden). The first stop in Greifenburg took place last weekend and was, as expected, a complete success!
// DAY 01 – BRIEFINGS
6 participants, 1 hut in the mountains and great vibes.
// DAY 02 – YOGA, FLYING, COOKING, XC, MENTAL TRAINING
The second day started with Sunrise Yoga, followed by meditation to start the upcoming flight full of power and strength.
After that it was off for a morning glide, allowing the girls to fly in their gliders and get to know the area.
At noon they went up in the air again – unfortunately the planned thermal flight was only a gliding flight down into the valley due to the weather, but the group had a lot of fun anyway.
In the evening, pasta was cooked together, and flight experiences exchanged. Elisa showed some of her flight analyzes and presentations about flying, as well as tips for route planning and mental training.
// DAY 03 – HIKING, XC FLYING, SUNRISE, WORKOUT
Day 3 started early with a hike and fly towards sunrise. Unfortunately, the fog threw a spanner in the works for the girls and forced them to wait. The time was still used effectively, because there was a decent power workout at the starting point to finally be able to start after the 2-hour fog.
After a hearty breakfast and planning a route for the upcoming cross-country flight, they went back up to the take-off site. The conditions were great, Elisa started first and the girls followed. All participants were able to gain their first cross-country flight experience and enjoy thermal flying.
The emotions and joy were huge, and the day ended with good food, girls talk and lots of fun. Due to the great flight before, the disappointment about the canceled Sunset flight due to thunderstorms was only half as big.
// DAY 04 – YOGA, THEORY, FEEDBACK
The last day started with an extensive morning yoga session. Unfortunately, Day 4 conditions were unflyable and the scheduled time in the air was cancelled. The discussions about theory, feedback and the experiences gained during the first tour stop of the “GIRLSCAMP” series went on all the longer.
